The YU7 is now on display ⁤at 13 Xiaomi showrooms in Beijing,with orders beginning in⁣ July. The company hopes the YU7 will replicate the success of the SU7 sedan, which has outsold Tesla’s Model 3 since⁣ December. Analysts⁢ suggest the YU7 could be a significant ‍competitor⁣ to Tesla’s Model⁤ Y, though the launch occurs amid scrutiny following recent controversies.

Chinese authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving an SU7 operating in driving-assistance mode. Xiaomi has also apologized for ⁢misleading marketing claims after customer complaints.

liu Jiaxing,a 34-year-old tech worker,visited⁣ Xiaomi’s flagship showroom in Beijing,expressing⁢ admiration ⁣for the YU7’s design and color. xiaomi plans to announce the YU7’s pricing in July.⁢ HSBC Qianhai estimates the SUV ⁢will ⁢range from 230,000 yuan to 330,000 yuan ($31,989-$45,898). They project Xiaomi could ship 100,000 YU7 units this year and 249,000 in 2026.
