Xpeng Launches Hybrid SUV with 1,600+ Kilometer Range

Xpeng Motors is tackling “range anxiety” wiht a ‍new⁢ hybrid G7 SUV boasting a combined range exceeding 1,000 miles⁢ (1,600 kilometers). The chinese ⁢electric vehicle maker unveiled the vehicle this‌ week, offering it alongside a fully electric G7 model at ⁢the same price‍ point.

The hybrid G7 combines battery power with a small ⁣gasoline engine that acts as a generator to ​recharge​ the battery.Xpeng claims this⁣ setup allows for travel distances comparable to a cross-country drive from Seattle to Los Angeles.The company also updated its P7+ sedan, increasing⁤ its range to 961 ⁤miles (1,548 kilometers) on a ⁣single charge.
