December is almost here, and several updates have emerged in the VR gaming world. Although gaming news has slowed down, notable mentions include Trombone Champ: Unflattened, Halo: Combat Evolved, and Asgard’s Wrath 2. This week’s Black Friday sales showcased discounts on VR games, Vive, Pico 4 Ultra, and PS VR2 headsets. Additionally, Virtual Desktop rolled out a significant update.
Grimlord Major Update
Grimlord, a VR action RPG in early access, will receive a major update in December on Quest and Steam. Developed by Metalcat, this campaign mode requires players to defeat the Grim Lord, featuring challenging enemies and collectible treasures.
Mannequin Backrooms Update
The hide-and-seek multiplayer VR game Mannequin has introduced its third major update. This update includes unlockable skins earned by leveling up, a new Backrooms map, a revamped UI for the Agent’s weapon, and more content.
VAIL VR Monthly Users Surge
After shifting to a free-to-play model, VAIL VR now has 200,000 monthly active users. The recent update introduced “The Citadel,” a free interactive hub, while much of the previous content is now offered as $30 DLC.
Subside PSVR2 Trailer Released
The game Subside is set to launch on PlayStation VR2, following its Steam release. A new trailer has been released, highlighting a targeted 90Hz refresh rate and dynamic foveated rendering, although a release date is yet to be confirmed.
Alien: Rogue Incursion Voice Cast Announcement
Survios announced that Robbie Daymond, known for his work on Persona 5 and Hi-Fi Rush, will join the voice cast for Alien: Rogue Incursion. He will portray Davis 01, an AI companion aiding Zula Hendricks in her quest to find a missing teammate.
