[중랑구 세계타임즈=이장성 기자] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) will hold a special lecture on film humanities, ‘Shin Ji-hye’s Film Music Journey’ at Jungnang Yangwon Media Center from August to December. This special lecture was planned to cultivate the humanities knowledge of Jungnang-gu residents, and will be held to take advantage of the unique characteristics of ‘Cinema Nophil’ within Jungnang Yangwon Media.

‘Cinema Nopil’ was established to commemorate the late director Nopil, a pioneer in musical films, and the district plans to provide residents with an opportunity to deeply understand musical films and film scores through special lectures. A radio DJ will conduct the special lectures, allowing residents to comfortably enjoy scenes and music from the film as if listening to the radio.

The special lecture ‘Shin Ji-hye’s Film Music’ will be held for a total of three times from August 30 to December 19, and the lecture topics consist of film music and narrative theory. Each lecture starts at 10 AM and the in-depth lectures last for about two hours.

The invited lecturer, announcer Shin Ji-hye, has produced and hosted CBS Radio for 25 years. She also has deep knowledge and expertise in film music, having served as an executive committee member for various film festivals and written a column on film, so she plans to share rich and diverse stories about film music with the residents.

Anyone who is a resident of Jungnang-gu can attend the lecture for free, and advance registration is available for up to 50 people on a first-come, first-served basis for each session through the Jungnang Yangwon Media Center website.

Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi said, “I am glad that this lecture can provide a deeper understanding and interest in film music,” and added, “I hope that this will be an opportunity for residents to feel closer to culture and arts.”
