NEW YORK (AP) — Yanic Truesdale, best known for his role as Michel Gerard in the hit series “Gilmore Girls,” is currently starring alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg in Amazon’s new ballet-themed dramedy, Étoile. The Quebecois actor, who divides his time between Los angeles and Montreal, expressed enthusiasm for the project and his co-star.

How do they know where we are, I don’t know? The passion of young people is so real. I am asked to take selfies and sign posters. It’s nice, but always surprising.” Truesdale has been working in television and film for 36 years.

“I think success is never a guarantee in this profession,” he explained. ”But,I am very happy to rework with them because they are people who have been in my life for 25 years and those who gave me my first chance with a character who marked me and who marked viewers.Working with people you know is rare and precious.”

I also have immense respect for their work. I saw them rehearse, and I got lots of dance friends.” He added that his fondest memories were from scenes shot at the Paris Opera.
As he awaits confirmation of a second season of Étoile, Truesdale mentioned “a film project in the air” and another in development in Quebec, though he could not provide further details.
