Fried and Cruz joined yankees manager Aaron Boone to promote Yankees HOPE Week. Asked about pitching to teammate Aaron Judge,both pitchers admitted they would prefer not to face the reigning AL MVP.
“I’d probably throw four pitches around the zone and then tell him to walk,” Fried joked. Cruz echoed the sentiment, saying he’d aim his best pitches outside the strike zone.
Dion Dawkins on Protector of the Year Award
