Yasmin Al-Khatib’s Program Suspended Amid Controversy

Dr. Tariq Sada, head of the Media Syndicate, has issued a decision to suspend Yasmin Al-Khatib and summon her for an investigation following her incident with blogger Hadir Abdel Razek.

Wael Abdel Aziz Calls for Program to Stop Broadcasting

Wael Abdel Aziz, Yasmin’s brother, took to social media to express his concerns about the program’s content, stating: “A call to the government, please stop programs that harm our children with this audio-visual distortion.”

He added: “We are in a big crisis, and behind this mess, our youth are lost. This cannot be the case with some channels in Egypt. Please publish a picture and content about our people in a much more nuanced way. Thank you.”

Professional Violations Observed in “Jasmine Tea” Program

The Journalists Syndicate’s Media Observatory observed professional violations in the “Jasmine Tea” program aired on Al-Nahar channel, presented by Yasmin Al-Khatib.

This was not the first case for Al-Khatib, who had previously been fired for engaging in media activities in violation of the law and for not regularizing his status with the union.
