Head of Media Syndicate Dr. Tariq Sada issued a decision to suspend Yasmin Al-Khatib and summon her for an investigation against the background of hosting blogger Hadir Abdel Razzaq.

The decision of the head of media syndicate was based on violation of media code of honor and code of professional conduct.

The Media Observatory of the Syndicate of Journalists observed professional violations in the (Jasmin T) program broadcast on Al-Nahar channel presented by Yasmin Al-Khatib.

This was not the first case for Al-Khatib, as he had previously been fired for engaging in media activities in violation of the law and for not regularizing his status with the union.

The media syndicate chief stressed the need to adhere to the media code of honor and professional code of conduct to deliver a professional and objective media message to raise awareness among citizens.
