YEOSU,south Korea (AP) — The⁣ city ‌of Yeosu,located in South‍ Jeolla Province,announced an agreement with ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability,to collaborate on hosting​ the 2026 World Island Expo and to support Yeosu’s bid ‌to host the 33rd Conference of the Parties (COP33) to the​ UN ⁢Framework Convention on⁤ Climate Change.

The agreement, finalized during a visit to ICLEI’s World Headquarters in Bonn, Germany, on Tuesday, signifies ⁤Yeosu’s commitment to international cooperation on‍ climate action and lasting advancement.
