HAVANA (may 4, 2025) — Teh Art Zen project, a local initiative focused on art development and martial arts study, is set to incorporate therapeutic practices aimed at enhancing the well-being of children and adolescents.
Maria Prada’s Holistic Approach
Maria Prada, a specialist in child development, plans to collaborate with Art Zen, specifically the Dojo Budocas de Funakoshi, to integrate recreational activities, breathing techniques, and music into the existing martial arts curriculum. In an interview, Prada told Press Latina Agency that the goal is to foster a sense of calm, balance, and self-awareness in young participants.
“It’s about inspiring a feeling of calm and a sense of balance,” Prada said. “Teaching them to breathe, concentrate, and relax are key components.”
According to Prada,these methods are designed to build resilience and mental fortitude,equipping children to navigate the challenges they encounter as they grow.
