Gao Chengrui Falls Short in WTT Championships Macau

Gao Chengrui, also known as “Classmate Yuji,” faced off against German Chinese player Qi Dang, ranked 13th in the world, in the men’s top four singles competition at the WTT Championships Macau. Despite taking the lead, Gao Chengrui lost three games in a row and ultimately fell 2-4, missing the championship.

A Strong Start and a Fierce Comeback

Although Qi Dang was lucky to score three times in the first game, Gao Chengrui took the initiative, opening up a gap with three consecutive points after a three-level draw. However, Qi Dang fought back to take an 11-8 lead.

A Nail-Biting Second Game

In the second game, Gao Chengrui trailed by 4 points but mounted a 4-0 offensive to tie the game at 8. He then engaged in a fierce battle with Qi Dang, saving a total of 4 game points. However, he also missed two game points and ultimately lost 14-16, tying the opponent at 1.

A Turning Point in the Third Game

In the third game, Gao Chengrui skillfully resolved a game point, but unfortunately, after being tied at 10, his serve went straight out of bounds, allowing Qi Dang to win 12-10.

Qi Dang Takes Control in the Fourth Game
