The deadline for this additional vaccination is June 30.
Where to Get Vaccinated
Vaccinations are available at designated medical institutions throughout the country. A complete list of participating facilities can be found on the Korea Disease Control and prevention Agency’s (KDCA) Vaccination Assistant website.
Important Considerations
Vaccine availability may vary among medical institutions. Individuals are strongly encouraged to contact their preferred vaccination site in advance to confirm vaccine supply and schedule an appointment. Identification is required at the time of vaccination.
Public Health Official’s Statement
A public health center official emphasized the rationale behind the extension, stating that the KDCA took into account the increasing prevalence of COVID-19 cases during both winter and summer months over the past three years (2022-2024). The official stressed the importance of vaccination for high-risk groups, who face a greater threat of severe illness and death from COVID-19.
the official added that as of the end of April, the vaccination rate among high-risk individuals in Yongin Special City stood at 47.7%,closely mirroring the national average of 47.4%.This indicates that more than half of the city’s high-risk population remains unvaccinated. Given that it takes approximately four weeks to develop immunity post-vaccination, residents are urged to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
