Peshawar Zalmi secured a seven-wicket victory over Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League 2026 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on April 22, 2026, powered by a record-breaking performance from 18-year-old fast bowler Ali Raza.
Ali Raza became the youngest Pakistani bowler to claim a T20 hat-trick in PSL history after delivering three wickets in three balls during the final over of Karachi Kings’ innings. His spell included a delivery clocked at 149.1 km/h that bowled Hasan Ali to complete the hat-trick, following earlier dismissals of Khushdil Shah (hit wicket) and Shahid Aziz (bowled).
This was not a quiet spell in the middle overs. This was the final over, with the game still hanging in the balance and pressure at its peak.

Raza finished with figures of 4 for 41 from his four-over spell, having earlier removed David Warner during the powerplay. His contributions helped restrict Karachi Kings to 182 for 9 after they had been 161 for 3 in the 17th over.
The collapse began when Azam Khan was dismissed for 35, followed by Jason Roy’s departure after a 51-ball 85. Karachi managed only 21 runs from the final 14 balls while losing six wickets, turning a strong position into a defendable total.

Peshawar Zalmi chased down the target with seven wickets and seven balls to spare, reaching 183 for 3 in 18.5 overs. Kusal Mendis remained unbeaten on 80 from 43 balls, earning player of the match honors, while Mohammad Haris and Saim Ayub provided strong starts at the top of the order.
The win marked Zalmi’s seventh successive victory in PSL 2026, consolidating their position at the top of the points table. Karachi Kings’ loss came despite a blistering start from Jason Roy, whose 85 off 51 balls included seven fours and four sixes before falling to Iftikhar Ahmed.
