My husband and I are not particularly interested in Halloween itself, and even more so after the Itaewon incident, even though it is a festival, our antipathy toward bizarre costumes and makeup only grows.

And our eldest child, who is now 7 years old, has never once said that he wants to go get candy on Halloween, so my wife and I were quite taken aback by our second child’s words.
