Yuengling Beer Finally Arrives in Chicago: Windy City to Get Taste of America’s Oldest Brewery
Chicago, IL – Get ready, Chicago beer lovers! After months of rumors and anticipation, Yuengling, America’s oldest brewery, is finally making its way to the Windy City.
Starting next month, thirsty Chicagoans will be able to enjoy Yuengling’s iconic brews on draft at bars and restaurants across the city.
“Fans across Illinois will be able to experience yuengling’s 195 years of brewing expertise, which will first be available on draft at the end of January with more distribution and packaging rolling out in the weeks following,” the brewery announced in a press release. “With this launch, fans of legal drinking age will be able to purchase the brand’s flagship beers at their favorite restaurants, bars, and stores across the state.”
The news comes after speculation began swirling earlier this summer when a beer marketing newsletter hinted at Yuengling’s arrival in Illinois thru a partnership with Molson Coors. While the brewery remained tight-lipped at the time, a recent social media post featuring a photo of various landmarks, including Chicago’s skyline, fueled the excitement.
Founded in 1829 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Yuengling is a beloved American institution, known for its rich history and classic brews. The brewery’s flagship Traditional Lager is a staple for many, but they also offer a variety of other styles, including the rich Black & Tan Porter and the hoppy Lord Chesterfield Ale.
This expansion marks another milestone for Yuengling, which currently distributes to 28 states. The brewery’s most recent expansion in 2023 brought its beers to Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Now, Chicagoans can finally join the ranks of Yuengling fans across the country.
