On November 12, the group held a fire safety special training video conference to conduct fire safety warning education and knowledge and skills training. Members of the group’s leadership team attended the meeting. Entrusted by Hong Yaoxing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, Huang Jingchen, Deputy General Manager of the Group, presided over the meeting and put forward work requirements. Captain Liu Yu and staff officer Zhang Yi of Kunming Xishan District Fire Rescue Brigade were invited to attend the meeting for guidance.
The training is conducted in the form of video conference, combining warning education and special training. All the trainees watched the safety production warning educational film, and through recent major fire accident cases across the country, cases were used to explain and blame, and the fire safety alarm was once again sounded. Zhang Yi, staff officer of Kunming Xishan District Fire Rescue Brigade, titled “Strictly Implement the Fire Safety Responsibility System and Efforts to Improve the Level of Fire Safety Management”, conducted an in-depth discussion on the national fire situation, fire safety responsibilities, fire safety precautions, and the use of fire extinguishers. The detailed explanation further deepened the participants’ understanding of fire safety responsibilities, fire laws and regulations, and basic fire safety knowledge and skills.
The meeting emphasized that production safety and fire safety are related to the safety of life and property of cadres and employees, and are related to the overall reform, development and stability of the group. All units and departments must raise their awareness and shoulder their responsibilities for fire safety. Deeply understand the importance of fire safety work, learn lessons from fire accidents that have occurred in many places in the country, draw lessons from one example and draw inferences about other cases, strictly implement the main responsibilities of fire safety, and ensure that responsibilities, measures and work are in place. It is necessary to strengthen leadership and ensure solid and orderly development. Strengthen the organization and leadership of the “Fire Protection Awareness Month” activities, strictly follow the deployment and arrangements of the group’s activity plan, and carefully organize and carry out various activities such as learning and education, training and drills, inspections and rectification, and theme publicity to ensure tangible results. It is necessary to advance as a whole and build a solid fire safety defense line. Combining the launch of the “Fire Protection Awareness Month” activity with solving hot and difficult issues in current safety development, and integrating it with key tasks such as the three-year action to tackle the root cause of production safety, improve the fire protection responsibility system, consolidate the foundation of fire prevention and control, and enhance fire safety awareness , create a fire protection publicity atmosphere, continuously build a strong “firewall” for the group’s fire safety, and strive to achieve high-quality development and high-level safe and positive interactions.
A total of more than 150 people attended the meeting at the main venue, including all the cadres and employees of the group headquarters, the main leaders of the affiliated publishing and media units, the leaders in charge of production safety and comrades in charge of related businesses, and the comrades responsible for property management, security, and canteens in the office area. A total of more than 2,100 people from printing groups, Xinhua Bookstore Group, education information companies, logistics companies, book companies, and Xinhua Bookstore cadres and employees from states (cities), counties (cities, districts) attended the meeting at the branch venue.
