Yura Discusses Reuniting With Hong Jong Hyun on YouTube

Yura addressed subscribers in a YouTube video titled YouTube Behind the Scenes, Friend Dating Review, Outfit Info – We Reveal Everything to mark one year since launching her channel.

When asked which content from the past year stood out the most, Yura pointed to her reunion with actor Hong Jong Hyun.

From the racing games we played first, to the universe-themed dates and friend dating, all were impressive, but the most unique was definitely shooting the We Got Married content, Yura stated in the video, describing the experience as a time machine.

Reflecting on a Twelve-Year Television History

Yura and Hong Jong Hyun originally appeared as an on-screen couple on the MBC variety program We Got Married in 2014.

Dubbed the JjongAh Couple by viewers, the pair earned a substantial following during their time on the broadcast.

Earlier this January, 12 years after their initial television appearance, the duo reunited on Yura’s channel, Yura Yura Hae, generating considerable online interest.

Reflecting on the unexpected passage of time during the modern shoot, Yura admitted to experiencing mixed emotions alongside her former co-star.

Time passed for just the two of us, she shared. Jong Hyun oppa and I felt very strange. While filming, we kept thinking, ‘When did we become people in our early to mid-30s?’

Recreating the Original Variety Format

The reminder episode brought the pair back together to retrace elements of their 2014 dynamic.

During the January shoot, the production team prepared mission cards that guided the pair on a specialized date.

The activities were designed to recall specific memories from the original program while generating fresh excitement for viewers of the digital channel.
