NASCAR Legend Yvan Muller’s Team to Debut in Euro Series
M Racing, the team founded by touring car icon Yvan Muller, will enter the NASCAR Euro Series in 2025, bringing a new level of excitement to europe’s premier touring car championship.
The move comes after EuroNASCAR driver Thomas Toffel suggested the idea to Muller, sparking the team principal’s interest in expanding into a new racing discipline.
“M Racing’s commitment to the NASCAR Euro Series embodies our passion for competition, our determination and our willingness to embrace a new experience,” said Muller, who made his own NASCAR Euro Series debut at Tours Speedway in 2012. “NASCAR is very different from what we normally do, especially in terms of racing style and strategy. However,we plan to use our competitive experience and racing expertise to approach this new championship with the same determination and adaptability that has allowed us to succeed in other disciplines.”
Muller’s racing career is nothing short of legendary.With 48 race wins, 29 pole positions, and four World Touring Car Championship titles, the Frenchman is a true icon of the sport. He also holds a record-breaking ten Trophee Andros titles on ice,showcasing his versatility and skill across different racing disciplines.
From Touring Cars to NASCAR: A New Chapter
While Muller remains active as a driver, he has passed the torch to his nephew, Yann Ehrlacher, who has followed in his footsteps, competing in touring cars and the now-discontinued Trophee Andros.
M Racing’s entry into the NASCAR Euro Series marks a significant moment for the championship, further solidifying its position as the premier touring car series in Europe.
“The driver line-up and number of cars will be announced in due course,” the team stated.
Highly skilled touring car drivers are now poised to take on the challenge of competing against the best European NASCAR drivers,all vying for a chance to reach the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte,North Carolina.
