Zamalek club are nearing a deal to sign Saudi Al-Ahly player Modou Barrow in the current summer transfer window, according to a reliable source.
The Egyptian club is looking to bolster its squad with several high-profile signings, following the recent additions of Palestinian Omar Farag, Mohamed Hamdi, Mahmoud Bentayek, and Senegalese Sidi Ndiaye.
Discussions between Zamalek and the 31-year-old player are ongoing, with the club working to finalize the deal.
Modou Barrow had a notable season with Saudi club Al-Ahly in 2023-24, featuring in 18 matches, scoring one goal, and providing two assists.
Zamalek is gearing up for two crucial matches in the round of 32 of the African Confederation Championship, facing Al-Shorta and Kenya. The first match is scheduled for September 14, with the return match taking place on September 20.
