Zamalek Signs Gabonese Striker Aaron Bobendza on Free Transfer
Zamalek has completed a deal to sign Gabonese striker Aaron Bobendza on a free transfer this summer.
As reported by FilGoal.com, Zamalek has agreed to a three-year deal with Bobendza after he terminated his contract with American club Cincinnati.
The 28-year-old striker has signed an initial contract and is expected to arrive in Egypt in a few days to sign the final contract and begin his career with the team.
Bobendza is a versatile player who can play as a striker, right winger, and left winger, offering Zamalek multiple attacking options.
Bobendza’s football career began in Monna, Gabon, before moving to Bordeaux, Ajaccio, and Tours in France. He then played for Firenze in Portugal and Hatayspor in Turkey.
The Gabonese player has had previous experiences in the Arab region, playing for Al-Arabi in Qatar and Al-Shabaab in Saudi Arabia.
Before joining Zamalek, Bobendza played for American club Cincinnati, where he participated in 35 matches, scoring nine goals and providing five assists.
At the international level, Bobendza has earned 29 caps for the Gabon national team, scoring five goals.
Zamalek’s signing of Bobendza is the latest addition to their squad, following reports of an agreement with AIK Al-Suwaidi to sign Palestinian striker Omar Farag.
