Zamalek Doctor Reveals Fate of Team’s Star Absentee Against Al-Ahly in Super Cup
Zamalek Club’s Head of Medical Staff, Dr. Mohamed Osama, has revealed the extent of the injury sustained by the team’s midfielder Mohamed Shehata in the African Confederation Cup match between Zamalek and the Kenyan Police.
Mohamed Shehata Injury Extent as Substitute in Kenya Police Match
Dr. Mohamed Osama confirmed in an exclusive statement that, “Zamalek midfielder Mohamed Shehata suffered a strain in his calf muscle in yesterday’s match and God willing he will participate in the match for the next match against Al-Shorta and to face Al-Ahly in the African Super Cup. Will be ready.”
It is expected that Mohammad Shehata will undergo a medical as soon as the team delegation returns from Kenya today, before he participates in the team’s joint training session.

Zamalek, led by Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, beat Kenya’s Al-Shorta 1-0 in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Confederation Cup at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi yesterday evening.
With the win, Al-Abyad moved a step closer to qualifying for the group stage ahead of the return leg scheduled for September 20 at the Cairo International Stadium.
