Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik has canceled all U.S. Dates of his upcoming Konnakol tour following an unspecified hospitalization last month. The announcement comes as Malik, who was admitted to the hospital on the same day his fifth solo album dropped on April 17, 2026, shared an update with fans on Instagram, stating he is prioritizing his health and adjusting his tour schedule accordingly.
In a message posted to his Instagram Story, Malik thanked fans for their support and well-wishes, emphasizing the importance of his recovery. To my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you’ve shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I’ve felt it, and it’s meant the world. I’ve been at home recovering and I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before,
he wrote.
Malik’s statement confirmed the cancellation of all U.S. Tour dates, including those scheduled for July and November, while some international dates—primarily in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Brazil—remain intact. The singer also canceled two previously scheduled U.K. Shows, including performances in Glasgow, Birmingham, and Dublin, though a rescheduled date at Manchester’s AO Arena on May 24, 2026, will proceed. Fans who purchased tickets for the canceled shows have been informed that refunds will be issued automatically.
The tour’s revised itinerary now includes nine dates, beginning with a May 23 show at London’s O2 Arena, followed by the rescheduled Manchester performance. The remaining international leg of the tour will take place in October, with stops in Santiago, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, and Lima.
Malik’s hospitalization and subsequent tour adjustments come amid ongoing speculation about the nature of his illness, which he has not publicly disclosed. Earlier this year, Malik canceled several album-related appearances, including an East Coast record store tour, citing his health. His Instagram Story from April 17 included a photo of him in a hospital bed, surrounded by medical equipment, with a caption thanking fans and hospital staff for their support.
Beyond the tour changes, Malik’s career has seen significant shifts since leaving One Direction in 2015. His relationship with fame has been marked by challenges, including public struggles with anxiety and mental health. The cancellation of a previously announced documentary about Malik and former bandmate Louis Tomlinson, reportedly scrapped due to an alleged altercation, further underscores the complexities of his personal and professional life.
As Malik focuses on recovery, fans and industry observers will be watching closely to see how his health impacts future projects. For now, the singer’s message to supporters remains clear: his well-being comes first, and he hopes to return to the stage stronger than ever.
