Zayn Malik Honours Liam Payne in Heartfelt Tribute in Wolverhampton: A Celebration of Friendship

Zayn Malik paid tribute to his former One Direction bandmate, Liam Payne, during his concert in Wolverhampton. Malik expressed his hope that Payne could see his performance, as he honored him on stage.

Payne passed away at 31 in Argentina after a fall from a hotel balcony. At the concert, Malik stated, “I’ve been doing something, at the end of the show, every night, and it’s been dedicated to my brother Liam Payne. Rest in peace.”

Malik started his Stairway to the Sky tour in Leeds with an onscreen message saying, “Love you bro.” Despite this, he did not directly discuss Payne while performing.

Previously, Malik shared that he never got to thank Payne for supporting him during tough times. In a heartfelt Instagram statement, he lamented the loss, saying, “I lost a brother when you left us,” and expressed regret for not being able to say goodbye properly.

Following Payne’s passing, Malik rescheduled tour dates to attend his funeral, which was also attended by other One Direction members, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan.

In Argentina, an investigation is underway into Payne’s death, with three people charged in connection. A post-mortem examination revealed he died from multiple traumas and hemorrhaging after falling from the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires.
