The President’s Office spoke about what topics were discussed in the meeting between President Vladimir Zelensky and the prime ministers of the Nordic countries – Finland, Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
The President and his partners discussed needs in the defense sector, financing Ukrainian production, and strengthening air defenses.
Zelensky emphasized that these meetings are aimed at further support for Ukraine from the Nordic countries and strengthening cooperation to strengthen the country’s defense capability.
“There were meetings with the prime ministers of Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland in Reykjavik. The focus is on continued support for Ukraine, particularly key defense needs, financing Ukrainian manufacturing, strengthening Ukrainian air defenses and our long-range capabilities. Also, implement the points of the Victory Plan and prepare for the second Peace Summit,” say Zelensky.
He thanked the leaders for their support and emphasized the need to maintain unity in Europe in order to speed up the approach to peace.
Earlier it was said that Norway would allocate half a billion dollars in aid to Ukraine. Part of this money will be used for military aid.
