A large-scale Russian offensive ⁢overnight on Thursday, August 21, 2025, involved 574 drones⁤ and 40 missiles, marking one of the most intense periods of bombardment since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine nearly four years ago. The attacks targeted multiple regions⁢ across ukraine,⁣ resulting ⁢in at least one confirmed fatality and 22 injuries, according to Ukrainian authorities.

“We believe it was a deliberate strike precisely on US property ⁣here in Ukraine, on American investment,” Zelenskyy stated in his nightly address.⁤ Damage to storage facilities at the Flex plant was reported.

Russia’s Response ‍and Counterclaims

moscow has not directly commented on Zelenskyy’s claim of deliberately targeting a US-owned facility.
