Zheng Yunpeng Becomes Chairman of China Consulting Engineering Company

On November 28, 2024, former Democratic Progressive Party legislator Zheng Yunpeng was appointed as the chairman of China Consulting Engineering Company. After the first meeting of the newly formed board of directors, Zheng thanked them for their support and expressed his commitment to advancing the business established by former chairman Lu Weping.

Zheng Yunpeng graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of National Taiwan University. He has a background in civil technology, which he plans to leverage to enhance the company’s contributions to technology research, talent development, and public administration.

In a Facebook post, Zheng expressed his excitement about returning to the industry after three decades. He stated, “This is a professional engineering corporation with a long history. Please give me your advice.” He humorously mentioned that he has not worn a full suit for some time and promised to dress appropriately for future engagements.

China Consulting Engineering Company was founded on November 22, 1969, under the Executive Yuan and the Ministry of Transport. The company is involved in various major domestic construction projects and has developed innovative technologies for smart cities and rural areas. Under Zheng’s leadership, the firm aims to enhance its engineering capabilities and fulfill public welfare missions.
