Domestic Performance

The five-day⁤ domestic forecast has been revised upwards to $155 million, with estimates potentially reaching $160 million.⁣ The ⁤Friday-Sunday ⁢portion of the opening weekend is projected⁣ to bring in‍ $98-99 million, according to‍ Deadline.

Notably, the original “Zootopia” required twelve days ‍to reach‍ $154 million domestically; the sequel‍ is ⁢on track to achieve that milestone in less than half ‍the time.

Global Success, Led by China

The worldwide box office haul is ‍now anticipated to exceed⁣ $525 million, surpassing initial projections⁢ of $500 million by Sunday. This surge is largely attributed to ⁣the film’s performance in China.

On Saturday alone, “Zootopia 2” grossed $104 million in China, marking the largest single-day ⁣haul for any Hollywood film, exceeding the previous record held by “Avengers: Endgame” ⁢ Deadline ⁤ reports.

“Wicked: For ‍good” earned $63.3 million over the three-day weekend and $93.5 million for the five-day period, experiencing a 57% ⁢drop in viewership from its opening weekend.

In limited release,⁣ netflix’s “Wake Up Dead ‍Man: A Knives Out Mystery” is projected to earn $4 million from 600 screens over the five-day period, while “hamnet” is expected⁤ to‍ take ⁣in $1.3 million from 119⁢ screens.
