About the Marrakech International Film Festival

The Marrakech International Film Festival is one of the largest film festivals in the Middle East and North Africa. The jury for its 21st edition, led by Luca Guadagnino, includes notable members such as Ali Abbasi and Patricia Arquette. The festival began with a screening of “The Order,” a thriller starring Jude Law.

Zoya’s Projects

Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti are creating a nine-part docu-series called “In Transit.” This series focuses on transgender stories from India. “Turtle Walker” is directed by Taira Malaney. Its production team includes Zoya, Reema, and several others. The film aims to raise awareness of sea turtle conservation efforts.
