A rapper accused of illegally filming a music video by installing a camera (action cam) in a space used by female models as a dressing room has been arrested by the police. It is known that the rapper recently applied to appear on a popular cable TV hip-hop contest program.

According to CBS No Cut News coverage on the 4th, rapper A (34) was arrested on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (photographing using cameras, etc.) and is being investigated by the police.

A is accused of ‘secretly’ installing a small camera used for filming in the dressing room used by two female models in their early 20s while filming a music video at Resort B on Jeju Island in June of last year. At the time of the incident, Mr. A was working as a police officer belonging to a security company, and it was found that he worked at a bank until July of this year.

In the video, Mr. A looked at the camera in front of a mirror and had a conversation with a female model standing in front of him. The total filming duration was about 1 hour and 30 minutes, including the victims changing clothes.

Model C, the victim, said, “When the models changed clothes, they used the space (where the cameras were installed), and the shower room was also next to it, so it was used as a changing room.”

The video producer, who was in charge of filming, editing, and directing the music video, checked the video in question and sent Mr. A to the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul last February for violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (shooting using cameras, etc.), assault, intimidation, and insults. sued

The producer testified in contact with CBS No Cut News, saying, “In the process of checking the footage, I found a scene where Mr. A installed ‘hidden camera’.” At the time of filming, the producer lent the equipment to Mr. A to take a ‘self-cam’, but it is claimed that Mr. A abused it for the ‘hidden camera’.

“When I first found the camera, it was covered in a towel,” he recalled. Before the producer collected the camera and brought it to Seoul, he also testified that he had a conflict with Mr. The producer also claimed, “Mr. A assaulted him to secure the video.”

Jeju Seogwipo Police Station, which took over the sex crime case in Gangbuk-seo in April, sent it to the prosecution without detention in June on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (photographing using cameras, etc.). A police official said, “By looking at the video evidence and the post-war relationship, we have decided that there is no room for dispute.”

Person A is in a situation where he categorically denies the allegations. He countered, “I just accidentally put the (camera) equipment, but it’s called illegal filming.” He continued, “(The space where the camera was) is not a space used by female models as a dressing room.”

Meanwhile, the case was transferred from the Jeju District Prosecutors’ Office to the Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office on the 6th of last month, and the Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office has requested the police for a supplementary investigation. An official from the Songpa Police Station in Seoul, who is investigating the case, said, “The prosecution received a request for a supplementary investigation on July 14, and we will investigate it and hand it over.”
