[국제]Trump Exposure Film ‘The Apprentice’ Released Before US Election

The controversial film ‘The Apprentice’, which depicts the younger days of former US President Donald Trump, will be released in the US before the presidential election.

“The Apprentice” distributor Briarcliff Entertainment announced that the film will be released in the United States and Canada on October 11.

‘The Apprentice’ depicts former President Trump’s younger years in the 1970s and 1980s, and was controversial for including a scene showing him sexually assaulting his first wife, Ivana.

Ivana, who divorced former President Trump in 1992, made this claim during the divorce proceedings, but later retracted it, and died in 2022.

The film reportedly includes scenes showing Trump undergoing liposuction and getting scalp treatments to treat his hair loss.

After the film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, Trump’s team threatened to sue, saying it was pure fiction and malicious defamation that sensationalized lies that were long ago debunked.

‘The Apprentice’ is scheduled to be released in Korea on October 23rd.

‘The Apprentice’ was directed by Iranian-Danish director Ali Abbasi, and was a hot topic when it was first released at the Cannes International Film Festival in France in May, but it has not found a distributor in the United States, making it uncertain whether it will be released before the presidential election.
