(Rome = Yonhap News) Correspondent Jeon Seong-hoon = Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to deliver a video speech to Italian parliamentarians on the 22nd (local time).

According to the ANSA news agency, President Zelensky is scheduled to deliver a message to Italian lawmakers via video at 11 a.m. that day.

Italy’s senators and parliamentarians will gather at the Houses of Parliament in Rome to see President Zelensky, and Prime Minister Mario Draghi is also expected to attend.

In this speech, President Zelensky is expected to reiterate his determination to resist the war and appeal for additional support from Western countries, including Italy.

Prior to this, President Zelensky gave video speeches to Congresses in the United States, Britain, Canada and Germany.

Recently, the Ukrainian government reportedly asked the Japanese parliament to allow President Zelensky to make a video speech.
