[제보는 MBC] Charter fraud “I was also victimized” … Victims everywhere

◀ anchor ▶

We recently reported continuously about a jeonse scam in which so-called ‘villain kings’ with hundreds of villas take away the tenants’ jeonse money.

After the report, reports poured in.

This time it was Incheon, and there were not only one or two people who had suffered similarly.

Reporter Park Jin-jun covered the story.

Mr. Kim, who lives in Michuhol-gu, Incheon.

I have received court documents that the house I live in has been put up for auction.

“What you buy now is not what you buy. I haven’t slept well since then.”

Mr. Lee moved into the villa last June with a deposit of 65 million won.

There was a mortgage loan from the landlord, but he even wrote a document stating that the real estate guarantees it safely.

“This corporate rental business is wealthy, and it owns more than 100 buildings, so there’s no need to worry, it’s safe.”

At that time, the market price of nearby villas was up to 140 million won.

If you add 65 million won to the victim’s jeonse price to the 105 million won that the landlord received as collateral, the villa eventually became a so-called tin can house with more debt.

Mo Park, who lives in a nearby apartment, also bought a house that was sold for 650,000 won.

About 30 households in the same building, both upstairs and downstairs, went to court auctions, but the owners are all the same.

“About 35 out of 65 apartments with (auction) numbers stamped are currently being held…”

The victim, Mr. Kim, asked the real estate agent who signed the charter contract.

The owner said that he was a professional rental company who owns about 70 houses nearby.

“The interest rate suddenly went up and I couldn’t afford it, so it has been a problem since the beginning of this year. (We) do not exceed the market price.

Victims have opened an internet cafe and are discussing countermeasures.

Some have started to protect the rent, such as suing the landlord to the police, but it seems difficult to find the deposit right away.
