Daesung Energy’s stock price is rising amid a gas rate hike from next month.

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Gas Corporation, starting next month, the raw material cost settlement price for private (housing and general) gas will be 1.90 won per megajoule (MJ, gas used unit), 0.67 won higher than before.
The city gas fee consists of the ‘raw material cost’ (standard raw material cost + settlement unit price), which is the import unit price of liquefied natural gas (LNG), a raw material for power generation, and the ‘wholesale and retail supply cost’, which is the sum of the supply costs and investment fees of wholesale and retail suppliers. price will go up. The settlement unit price was raised from 0 won to 1.23 won in May, and it will rise by 0.40 won from 1.90 won to 2.30 won in October.
Meanwhile, Daesung Energy receives natural gas from Korea Gas Corporation and supplies city gas for cooking, heating, air conditioning and air conditioning, commercial and industrial use, and operates 12 charging stations for fuel supply including city buses. Following the operation of a CNG charging station using ‘green gas’ biogas since last year, the company is also starting a hydrogen charging station business using by-product hydrogen.
