SSG won the 2022 professional baseball Korea Series for the first time in two years after the team was reestablished.

In Game 6 of the Korea Series held at SSG Landers Field in Incheon today (8th), SSG hit a two-run homer by Kiwoom’s Im Ji-yeol in the 3rd inning and took a 0-2 lead.

At the end of the 3rd inning, the successive hits of Choo Shin-soo and Choi Ji-hoon and the opponent’s errors tied up and immediately made up two points, and the game was returned to its place by chasing 2-2 .

At the start of the 6th inning, Kiwoom made it 3-2 again with Lee Jung-hoo’s solo home run, but SSG turned the game 4-3 at the end of the 6th inning, when Kim Seong-hyun hit a double.

After that, he maintained a one-point lead with successive rainouts and eventually climbed to the championship level.

This year’s Korean Series MVP was Kim Kang-min, who hit a last-gasp home run as a pinch hitter for the first time in Korean Series history in Game 5 yesterday.

With today’s victory, SSG won the trophy again for the first time in 4 years since 2018 when it was SK.

We also enjoyed the thrill of winning the combined championship by taking first place in the regular season and the Korean Series at the same time for the first time in 12 years.
