Joy’s commitment to evidence-based nutrition is rooted in a strong academic foundation. she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of maryland and a Master of Science in Nutrition from New York University. Her career began with a five-year tenure as Director of Nutrition and Fitness for the “Heart-Smart Kids Program” at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, a program she developed to promote cardiovascular health in children.
Further demonstrating her expertise, Joy served as a nutrition consultant for Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, designing and overseeing research in eating disorders and weight management. She also worked as a clinical nutritionist with the neurosurgical team at The Mount Sinai Medical Center and shared her knowledge as an instructor of Anatomy and Physiology and Sports Nutrition at New York University’s School of Continuing Education.
