100 off 46 balls; Prithvi Shah hits a maiden T20 century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Rajkot: Indian opener Prithvi Shah scored his first century in his Twenty20 career. Shah, the captain of the Mumbai team, scored a century against Assam in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Shah reached his century from just 46 balls and scored 134 runs off 61 balls with 13 fours and nine sixes. Shah Syed, who reached his fifty from 19 balls, also holds the record for the eighth fastest century in the Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Thanks to Shah’s brilliant century, Mumbai scored 230 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs.

Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant holds the record for the fastest century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His record century came from 34 balls against Himachal Pradesh in January 2018.
