PlayStation Games Facing Delisting in September and October 2026

Several prominent titles are losing online support entirely or vanishing from digital storefronts over the next two months. The PS4 rails shooter Railbreak is scheduled to be completely delisted from the PlayStation Store, making way for its PS5 remake, Railbreak DX, though it remains unclear whether current owners will receive a discounted or free upgrade path. Meanwhile, Perfect World Entertainment’s anime massively multiplayer online role-playing game Tower of Fantasy will end in-game purchases for its PS4 version on September 22, 2026, before shutting down the console client entirely on October 20, 2026. Players can transfer their existing game progress to the PS5 client, as well as to personal computers and mobile devices.

Multiplayer Server Shutdowns and Mode Removals

A large portion of the affected software will not disappear from player libraries entirely, but will lose dedicated online servers and multiplayer functionality. According to Push Square, 1047 Games is altering the PlayStation versions of Splitgate: Arena Reloaded and Empulse in response to declining active users. Both games remain playable, but official dedicated servers will be disabled and replaced by peer-to-peer networking support. Future software development for these titles is also ending, meaning no further content packs or patches will be released. Hawked will see its online servers and multiplayer services brought to an end. Mega Zombie is losing its online services, though titles featuring offline single-player components will remain accessible locally. GRID Legends faces the termination of its online multiplayer components. Firewall Ultra will shut down its online backend infrastructure. Sociable Soccer 25 will disable its online competitive services on September 28, 2026. Fortnite: Rocket Racing will be removed from Epic Games’ battle royale menu as a selectable mode sometime in October 2026.

Call of Duty: Warzone Discontinuation Timeline

Activision’s free-to-play battle royale title Call of Duty: Warzone is slated for discontinuation. According to Push Square, the service will close permanently upon the launch of Season 1 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. While an exact shutdown hour has not been specified, the new game is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2026, placing the Warzone phase-out directly around that date.
