Pro-strike CPM activists lock up 15 teachers at Kadakkal Chithara Government Higher Secondary School in Kollam. The teachers were locked up by P Shia Lal, PTA president, CPM local committee member, Chithara Service Co-operative Bank employee and former Chithara panchayat member.
He also used obscene language against teachers. Shibulal threatened the teachers to ‘show up’ when he came out in the evening. Teachers are still in the classroom. The teachers alleged that the police reached the spot but did not take any action. A large police contingent has been set up in front of the school.
