16-year-old boy also killed in Virginia Walmart shooting on Thanksgiving Day

A 16-year-old boy died in a mass shooting at a supermarket in Virginia two days before Thanksgiving.

16-year-old Fernando Chavez-Barron is among the six victims during the July 22 shooting at a Walmart, Chesapeake police said.

The boy who lost his life is said to have been working at Walmart on the night shift while attending high school to help support the family budget.

One of those who knew the boy remembered, “He wanted to be of some help. He was a very good child.”

The grieving family mourned the boy and prayed in a Walmart parking lot on Thanksgiving Day, the 24th.

Previously, at a Chesapeake Walmart on the 22nd, a manager opened fire on his colleagues in the break room, killing six people and taking his own life.

The perpetrator, Andre Bing, left a note on his mobile phone defaming his colleagues.

He is said to have bought a handgun from a gun dealer on the day of the incident.
