After three years of hard work after receiving a proposal from her boyfriend, the bride-to-be, who succeeded in losing over 90 kg of weight, is a hot topic.

According to foreign media such as the Mirror on the 11th (local time), British woman Vicky Chaper, 35, proposed to her boyfriend David three years ago.

The couple, who had been in love for over 10 years since they were college students, promised to get married in Central Park, New York, USA.

However, Chaper turned down David’s offer of a commemorative photo with the engagement ring on, and suggested that the marriage be “postponed.”

“I’m afraid I’ll look like Shrek in a wedding dress,” said Chaper, who weighed close to 170 kg when he was proposed.

Chaper, who postponed his marriage and entered the ‘wedding diet’, stayed away from fast food, ate mostly vegetables and protein, and worked out hard at the gym every day.

David, moved by his girlfriend’s efforts, also joined the diet.

So, the two worked together for three years, and Chafer lost over 90 kg of weight. Chaper had lost more than half his weight three years ago and had to refit the ring he received when he proposed.

Chaper and David, who succeeded in dieting, recently got married in a wedding dress and tuxedo of their dream design.

“It’s fun to take out wedding photos with my husband in the evening,” said Chaper. “It was a special day I will never forget.”
