2-0 victory in O’Higgins’ visit to Everton

O’Higgins left Everton with no options by winning at the Sausalito stadium with a resounding 0-2 score during matchday 29 of the Chile – Betsson Championship 2023 tournament. The goals for the visitor were scored by Antonio Díaz (35′ 1T) and Diego González (7′ 2T).

Luck was not on O’Higgins’ side on two occasions and Camilo Moya’s shots hit the post.

Diego González was the figure of the match. The O’Higgins defender was important for scoring 1 goal, winning 4 balls and throwing 2 balls out of the danger area.

Ignacio González was also important. The O’Higgins goalkeeper was essential for saving 6 shots and making 4 correct passes.

With a dirty game, the match played between both teams stood out. There were several reprimands: Brian Blando, Álvaro Madrid, Juan Cuevas and Antonio Díaz.

The judge selected for the match at the Sausalito stadium was Juan Lara Luco.

Everton will visit D. Copiapó on the next day. On the O’Higgins side they will play at home against Palestino.

After the match, the local team remains with 45 points and in fifth place in the standings. While the visit has 35 units and occupies tenth place in the tournament.
