Lhasa, December 20 (Xinhua) — Provincial Office of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Southwest China’s Tibet Autonomous Region (Xijang). Local grain production for 2023 is forecast to total around 1.09 million tonnes, an increase of 15,600 tonnes from last year.

The report shows that the grain growing area of ​​Tibet in 2023 is about 2.92 million mu (about 1.21 million rai), which is about 30,000 mu (about 12,500 rai) more than in 2022.

In addition, a total of 50 million yuan (about 250 million baht) has been allocated to subsidize fertilizer in Tibet, including the creation or improvement of 414,400 mu (about 172,000 rai) of high-quality farmland by 2023.
