Lodz, Poland to Host the Qualification Round

The 2024 Olympic Qualification Round for Women’s Volleyball will take place in Lodz, Poland from September 16 to 24, 2023. This highly anticipated event will feature 24 nations competing for a chance to qualify for the Olympic Games. Among the participating countries are Turkey, United States, Serbia, Brazil, Italy, Poland, Japan, Netherlands, Dominican Republic, Canada, Germany, Thailand, Bulgaria, Puerto Rico, Belgium, Czech Republic, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, South Korea, Ukraine, Slovenia, and Peru.

Divided into Three Groups

The qualifying round is divided into three groups, each consisting of eight teams. In the round robin competition, teams within each group will compete against each other. Only the top one or two teams from each group, based on their results, will earn their tickets to the final round of the Olympic Games in France. The final round is scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 11, 2024.

Group Standings and Schedule

  • Group A: In Group A, Serbia leads the standings with 6 points, having won both of their matches. China is in second place with the same points and wins. The Netherlands is in third place with 4 points, followed by the Dominican Republic with 3 points. Canada, Czech Republic, Mexico, and Ukraine complete the group.
