Alvin, Levy, Will, and Josh completed Velo’s 2025 Field Test this week with a 100-mile ride in Marin County, California. The ride served as the final test for six bikes scrutinized over the past episodes.
The lineup included four all-road bikes: the Specialized Roubaix, leaves, Stinner Carrizo Select, and BMC Roadmachine. A DEVINCII HATCHET represented gravel bikes, while a Specialized goesos served as the pure road bike benchmark. All bikes used 32mm Continental Grand Prix 5000 S control tires.

Previous episodes featured initial ride impressions, a climbing test, a time trial, a vibration assessment, and a descending challenge.
The 100-mile ride to Point Reyes tested the comfort of the all-road bikes, also known as endurance bikes. Though, the ride didn’t go as planned for all testers.

Despite setbacks, the team persevered. Individual reviews and a roundtable discussion are planned.
