the Southeastern Conference (SEC) emerged as the top conference in the 2025 NBA Draft, boasting a ⁣total of 13 selections. A strong second round propelled the SEC to the lead, surpassing the Big Ten, which led after the ⁤first round. Eight players drafted Thursday night came from the SEC.

The Florida Gators led the SEC ‍with three picks, all starting guards from their national championship team. Nine SEC teams had players drafted⁢ after a year in which the conference sent a ⁤record 14 teams to the NCAA ⁤Tournament.

The Big Ten followed⁤ with ⁢10 players drafted, including two each from Rutgers and Illinois. Tho, Duke⁤ University stood out, with all five starters from their 2024-25 team selected in the NBA Draft.

Duke produced three of the⁣ first 10 picks, including No.1 ⁢overall pick Cooper Flagg. Sion James and Tyrese Proctor were selected in the second round,making Duke the⁣ 19th programme to have⁢ five or more players drafted⁤ in⁣ a single year.
