Step Back in Time: “Jurassic World – The Experience” Coming to Munich
Prepare for an adventure! From April 17th to September 16th, 2026, the Small Olympic Hall in Munich will transform into a prehistoric world with “Jurassic World - The Experience.” The exhibition draws inspiration from the iconic 1993 film Jurassic Park, directed by Steven Spielberg, and its subsequent installments.
What to Expect: Dinosaurs Come to Life
This family-pleasant exhibition promises an immersive encounter with some of cinema’s most remarkable creatures. Visitors will come face-to-face with a life-sized Brachiosaurus, the smart and agile Velociraptor Blue, and,of course, the fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex.The exhibit aims to recreate the feeling of being on the film set – or even what it might be like to encounter these grand animals in real life.
The experience isn’t limited to the stars of the films. Younger dinosaur enthusiasts will be thrilled to meet baby dinosaurs, including Bumpy, a popular character from the animated series Jurassic World: New Adventures, currently streaming on Netflix.
A Show, Not a Museum: What previous Visitors Say
While the lifelike dinosaur recreations have been widely praised, it’s important to be aware of feedback from previous showings. The exhibition previously appeared in Cologne, Germany, where attendees described it as more of a spectacle than an educational experience. Reports suggest a focus on visual impact and entertainment, rather than in-depth scientific information.
Visitors to the Cologne exhibit also noted that tickets are on the expensive side and that the experience involves a high volume of attendees. Expect a lively, immersive show, but plan accordingly if you’re seeking a quiet, detailed exploration of paleontology. You can find more details about the Munich event and ticket information on the official Olympiapark Munich website.
