The number of new infections per day decreased slightly in a week as Shanghai, China, partially lifted some of the city’s blockades.

According to the National Health Commission of China on the 12th, the number of new infections in Shanghai the day before was 23,342 (including 22,348 asymptomatic infections), 2,745 fewer than on the 10th (26,87).

Shanghai partially lifted the city blockade, which had been in effect since the 28th of last month, by dividing it into three phases from the previous day: a control zone, a management control zone, and a defense zone.

In Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, which started a complete nucleic acid (PCR) test for 15 million residents, 31 new infections were found. This is an increase from 10 days (11 people).

The number of infected people in Jilin fell from the 900 on the 10th to the 700 the previous day.

Accordingly, Jilin Province has declared zero corona in some areas.

The total number of infections in China reached 24,546 (including 23,295 asymptomatic infections), stopping the record high since the 4th.

Meanwhile, 11 people were infected at the oxygen production plant, the largest in Shanghai, and the plant was shut down.

This plant is supplying 90% of household oxygen cylinders in the Shanghai area.
