240W fast charging USB-C cable is available in Japan, starting from $240

Japanese computer accessories manufacturer ELECOM recently released two USB-PD EPR chargers, namely USB Type-C cables with a charging power of up to 240W. Among them, the model USB4-CCPEN corresponds to USB4. When connected to a USB4 device, the data transfer rate can reach up to 40Gbps. ELECOM means that this USB-C cable is equipped with three layers of protection, which can prevent the signal from being disturbed by the outside world.

Another ELECOM U2C-CCPEN cable corresponds to the USB 2.0 standard, with a data transfer speed of up to 480Mbps, but also supports USB-PD EPR 240W charging. This USB-C cable has only two layers of protection. The USB4-CCPEN is only 1 meter in length and is priced at 8,480 yen (about 525 Hong Kong dollars), while the USB4-CCPEN offers 1 meter and 2 meter lengths, priced at 3,880 and 4,080 yen (about 240 and 253 Hong Kong dollars), respectively. Both are available in black and white options.

This is not the first time that a manufacturer has released a USB-C cable that supports 240W charging and 40Gbps transmission. At the beginning of the month, the foreign accessories supplier Club 3D released it first, but did not announce the price and listing arrangements. Now the two cables announced by ELECOM have been listed on Amazon Japan.
