(New York = Yonhap News) Reporter Kang Geon-taek = A 29-year-old Korean woman who tried to pretend to be a high school student by forging documents to enter the high school was arrested by the police in New Jersey, USA.

According to local media such as WABC on the 26th (local time), the New Brunswick Police Department in New Jersey prosecuted a 29-year-old woman for falsifying government documents to deceive her age.

Shin is accused of registering as a student at a high school in New Brunswick by deceiving his age by submitting a false birth certificate to the Board of Education.

He spent most of the four days at school with a life guidance teacher, but was also found to have taken part in some school classes.

The local media reported that the school’s students and parents were concerned about the incident.

“Last week, the education authorities admitted a 29-year-old Korean woman,” one student told WABC. “Everyone is scared. Some students gave their personal information to the woman.”

Another student told CBS New York, “He was pretending to be a freshman, but I was surprised he didn’t look his age.”

Another student said Shin sent text messages to some classmates saying, ‘Let’s play together’, but no one went out.

This incident also puts New Jersey’s poor admissions system on the chopping block.

In the case of New Jersey, public schools are regulated by law to enroll students immediately without requiring a guardian or completing sufficient paperwork.
