Kolkata: Virat Kohli’s performance in the second Twenty20 against the West Indies was silenced by critics. Kohli, who scored 52 off 41 balls, scored his 30th half-century of his Twenty20 career at Eden Gardens.

With this, Kohli has surpassed the record set by Indian captain Rohit Sharma as the highest half-century scorer in Twenty20 Internationals.

Kohli is the only Indian batsman to score 10,000 runs in his Twenty20 career. Kohli is ranked sixth in world cricket in terms of Twenty20 runs. Kohli is followed by Chris Gayle (14,529), Shuaib Malik (11,611), Kieron Pollard (11,419), Aaron Finch (10,434) and David Warner (10,308).
